Making Leeds a better place to live and work
Leeds in Bloom encourages residents and businesses to work together to decorate their homes or premises with plants and flower to make the city look more attractive.
Leeds has loads of in bloom groups and each year the number of entries for the competition increases. You don’t need a large sprawling garden to enter as there are categories to suit all sizes ranging from very large community spaces to window boxes.
Winners of Leeds in Bloom go on to compete in Yorkshire in Bloom and should they be victorious they’ll be competing for national distinction at Britain in Bloom.
The initiative helps develop community spirit and civic pride, which in turn can boost the local economy, stimulate voluntary work and cooperation between community groups. Everyone wins.
We are very proud to work with these groups each year. They make the city a greener and more pleasant place to work and live for everyone. Check out Leeds City Council’s Leeds in Bloom page for details on how to enter and more.
